Mawgan Porth is a beach that gets it just right - a stretch of white sand, a swirling ocean and a small but well formed mix of restaurants, cafes and a pub. Not too mention the wide expanse of sand which caters to all beach goers from surfers to sandcastle builders.
If you fancy stretching your legs, take the steady amble up the South West Coast Path towards neighbouring Watergate Bay or Bedruthan Steps, where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Padstow is a little further afield, 20 minutes away by car.Strolling distance:
