Leave the car behind and hop aboard the Cawsand Ferry from the beach, listening to the clang of anchors and the squawk of seagulls as the boat chugs across to the Cornwall-Devon border to Plymouth, where the city’s restaurants, cafes, pubs, and shops await. The ferry runs from Easter until the last Sunday in October.

Can I bring my dog?
There is a seasonal dog ban on Cawsand Beach between 10am and 6pm from 1 July to 31 August; however, dogs are welcome on Kingsand, the next beach along, meaning self-catering holidays in Cawsand are great with a four-legged friend.
Accessibility
The beach at Cawsand has level access via a slip lane onto the sand. There is a pay and display car park for up to 85 vehicles; alternatively, there are a further 120 spaces in Kingsand. Toilets are located next to the slipway.
