This contemporary apartment sits in a frontline waterfront setting overlooking Cawsand Beach on the Rame Peninsula, an ideal base for families or groups of friends exploring this former fishing village. Masts and sails point skywards as boats bob in the harbour swell. Skimming stones bounce, barnacles fizz, and ice-cream sticky fingers get washed in the lulling tide. Tucked into the Rame Peninsula, Cawsand is a rare treat – a beautiful beach less frequented by the summer masses.
Inside, the first-floor open-plan living space includes a kitchen, dining area, and sweeping views over Cawsand Bay. Soft blues and pale neutrals keep the interior understated, so the eye is pulled straight to the water through the Juliet balcony overlooking the beach. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Nespresso machine and a breakfast bar with three wooden stools. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed with sea views and an en-suite rainfall shower. A second bedroom offers a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made into two singles, and a third bedroom has a chalet bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single on top. A family bathroom with a bath and a rainfall shower completes the sleeping floor. Underfloor heating warms the first floor, and a cloakroom houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside, one allocated parking space is available in the underground car park with EV charging, and there is storage for paddleboards, bikes, and kayaks.
Kingsand village and beach are a short walk away, while the South West Coast Path runs right behind the apartment. The coastal walk to Rame Head is within easy reach, and the high cliffs and stretching sands of Whitsand Bay are a few miles further along the coast. Leave the car behind and hop aboard the Cawsand Ferry from the beach, listening to the clang of anchors and the squawk of seagulls as the boat chugs across to Plymouth, where restaurants, cafes, pubs, and shops await. The ferry runs from Easter until the last Sunday in October.
