The coastal interiors that are fused with a rustic and contemporary twist.
A mile down the road to Porthcothan beach, driving is advised.
Porthcothan is one of Cornwall's secret bays, a deep inlet surrounded by rocky headlands with a big expanse of sand at low tide. This tiny coastal village has a lovely hidden quality; it has remained largely undeveloped and provides an 'away from it all' feel perfect for couples.
As seen in Coast Mag, Lobster Pot is just one mile inland with at least 10 beaches all within a 5-20 minute drive from the cabin. You'll find nearby Porthcothan beach is quieter than many of the better-known beaches with a focus on playing on the sand and in the sea. Around the corner is the more popular Treyarnon Bay, with its beautiful golden sand and short scenic walk along the coastal path to the equally stunning Constantine Bay. Other nearby beaches include Mawgan Porth, Harlyn Bay and Mother Ivey's Bay.
St Merryn village is just 1.5 miles down the road, here you'll find Rick Stein's The Cornish Arms pub, The Olive tree restaurant, village shop, bakery,Waves surf school and a further small selection of shops. Padstow is also just a short drive from Lobster Pot, with its picturesque harbour and Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant. In the other direction Watergate Bay and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall Restaurant are just 15 minutes away by car, with Newquay a little further on offering great shopping, beach activities and all kinds of cafes, pubs and restaurants to choose from.

The Lobster Pot at Porthcothan Bay was the perfect setting for our minimoon. It was beautifully decorated, felt cosy, relaxed and we couldn't have wished for more. Walks around the nearby bays were also spectacular. We were so happy with our stay.

Best place we have stayed in. We had a fantastic time and Porthcothan Bay was our favourite. Sitting outside in the morning was lovely, some days we found it hard to leave as it was so tranquil. We will be back.

Lobster Pot was a fantastic property, uniquely designed and furnished in a way which we loved. It was immaculately maintained and presented and was spotlessly clean. Plenty of space inside and out. Ideally located to many popular resorts, beaches and hidden coves. We will definitely be returning sometime soon.

We stayed at the Lobster Pot for a few days in May (13th - 16th ). Our first reaction on entering the property was 'Gobsmacked'. It was so quirky and original, but had all the modern comforts of home. The garden was fabulous and instead of eating out in the evenings, we couldn't wait to get back to enjoy a few glasses of fizz in the sun and a simple cooked meal outside on the decking with the lights Making it perfect. The surrounding area has the most beautiful coves and beach walks, and Padstow and Port Isaac are both worth a visit. We will be back to explore more of beautiful Cornwall.

What an amazing holiday. Lobster Pot is simply magical. We absolutely loved it, from the beautiful decor and secluded, sunny and tranquil garden. You have thought of everything, loved the plancha. It's great to cook alfresco on a warm evenin. The wood burner was also a wonderful touch, but it wasn't cold enough to light it (next time!) The lobster Pot really is truly a little gem.

Beautiful dog friendly cabin. Lovely decor and artwork. One of the best accommodations we have had the pleasure to stop in. Gorgeous secure garden for our Yorkies to have some freedom. Outdoor kitchen area perfect for sunny days and the veranda to sit under regardless of the weather. We would definitely recommend

Our stay at the Lobster Pot was fantastic! Amazing decor & beautiful garden, a lovely wood burner for cosy evenings in and a plancha grill for alfresco dining on warm evenings. It's certainly is a little gem!

A superb little cabin with everything you need and more supplied. Cosy log burner for those cold evenings and lovely touches of wine and biscuits on arrival.
