THE WALK TO THE BEACH?

Where is it?

Hidden at the end of a quiet lane, just 50 metres from Porth beach, sits sandandsea, a beautiful contemporary cottage.

A 30-minute walk to Newquay in one direction and Watergate Bay in the other. Porth is a charming waterfront village with a cafe, restaurant, pub and boutique shop.

The beach is sheltered by two headlands, with a wide expanse of golden sand, and rockpools to explore.

Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming and bodyboarding. Even during the height of summer, Porth provides a sense of peace and space.

Inside:

  • Spacious property with superb chef's kitchen.
  • Three bedrooms, sleeps eight.
  • Professional open plan kitchen with microwave, two fan ovens, steamer oven, instant hot water tap, hand held rinse tap, food disposer, dishwasher, two drinks fridges, tall fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric hot plates and downdraft extractor.
  • Open plan dining area with long table and benches. Seating for eight people.
  • Large sitting room with log burner, corner sofa, large bean bag, 40" Smart TV with Freeview, DVD player, DVDs, games and Playstation.
  • Ruark audio DAB radio and WiFi.

 Sleeping:

  • Light-filled master bedroom with a king-size bed, two bedside tables, full-length mirror, triple wardrobes and views over Porth beach.
  • Second bedroom with a king-size bed, two bedside tables and two double fitted wardrobes and beach views.
  • Bedroom three has a bunk bed with a single truckle and single bed, accommodating up to four. Bedside drawers, chest of drawers and a walk-in-wardrobe with hanging and folding space.
  • Generous family bathroom with roll top bath, separate rain shower, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail.
  • Ground floor wet room with rain shower, WC and hand basin.

Outside:

  • Kidney-shaped front lawn with bench seating.
  • Enclosed sun-trap decking area to the rear accessed up 11 steps. This area has an 80cm high glass balustrade with a 1.5 metre drop. Table and corner seating for eight people.
  • Beach and sea views.
  • Private parking for two cars.
  • External utility with washing machine and separate dryer.
  • Outside surf shower.
  • Webber charcoal BBQ available.

Need To Know:

  • One small well-behaved dog is welcome (additional charge applies), but please note that between 1 May and 30 September dogs are only allowed on Porth beach before 9am and after 7pm. There are plenty of other dog walking options within walking distance (Porth Headland & Lusty Glaze Headland) and some all year dog friendly beaches not too far away (Watergate Bay, Fistral & Mawgan Porth).
  • Short breaks available outside of school holidays.
  • No smoking within the property or anywhere on the premises.
  • Refundable damage deposit of £250, due with full balance.
  • Book a 3 or 5 night break and get an extra 2 nights free. This offer is only available after October half-term and before Easter, excluding school holidays. Only available to book by telephone on 01637 861005.
