The best thing about:

The large open plan living space with its fantastic sea views.

The walk to the beach

700 metres down the path to Mawgan Porth

Tucked away on a private road, Menehay is a beautiful three-bedroom, upside-down living barn conversion, with rural and sea views. Guests will find themselves on the dog-friendly Mawgan Porth beach in just a seven minute walk down a quiet path.

Mawgan Porth is a beach that gets it just right- a stretch of white sand, a swirling ocean and a handful of tasty eateries. Little feet can splash about in the trickling river and leave tiny footprints on the sand, perhaps joined by pawprints (as the beach is dog friendly all year round).

The beachfront street is dotted with shops, cafes and an activity centre, King Surf. Try your hand at mastering the waves or let off steam at the seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt course, based near a historic Iron Age site.

If you fancy stretching your legs, take the steady amble up the South West coast path towards neighbouring Watergate Bay or Bedruthan Steps, where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Padstow is a little further afield, 20 minutes away by car.

  • This was our second stay in Menehay and it didn't disappoint. Lovely property and you can sit and have your morning cuppa on the chair by the kitchen looking out to the sea. The shared space at the back is great with picnic benches to sit and admire the sea and surrounding views from. You can walk down to Mawgan Porth's amazing beach in 10 mins where you can also get onto part of the coastal path too. This time I was in touch with the owner who was lovely and so helpful.

  • Lovely clean bright property. Plenty of room to move for adults & our toddler. The property had everything you needed to make your stay very comfortable. We would definitely recommend it & would book it again at a later date. Lovely touch providing milk, scones jams and cream. Thank you
