The walk to the beach

Just 75 metres down the road onto the soft sand of Porth beach.

WHERE IS IT? 

5 The Strand is a beautiful townhouse positioned just a short walk from the sandy shores of Porth Beach.

Situated between Newquay and Watergate Bay on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Porth is a large, west-facing sandy beach, sheltered by headlands on either side and with a cafe, restaurant and pub right next to the beach.

Porth is like a beach from a fairy tale story, with its sheltered soft sand, rock pools galore and a delicate stream flowing down to the shoreline. A narrow wooden footbridge leads to Porth Island, a headland full of history. Watch in awe at mid tide, particularly on windy days, as the blowhole shoots rainbow sprays of water.

Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming and bodyboarding. Even during the height of summer, Porth provides a sense of peace.

INSIDE:

  • The Strand development is a new collection of town houses beautifully designed over four floors.  
  • This house has two balconies with a glimpse of the sea in the distance.
  • Spacious and modern living room on the first floor with a sea view, large L shaped sofa seating six-seven people, armchair and pouffes, 65 inch curved TV, Sky Q with full Sky package including Film, Sport and Netflix, and patio doors leading out to the balcony with a sea view in the distance. A Sonos ROAM bar is also included for radio and own playlists.
  • Dining room on the first floor with large wooden table with four chairs and a bench, seating eight. 
  • Fully equipped modern kitchen on the first floor with breakfast bar/island with two stools, induction hob, double oven, fridge freezer, wine fridge, microwave and dishwasher. 
  • Separate games room in the lower ground floor garage featuring a dartboard, tennis table, monitor with Xbox with two controllers and four gamer seats. 
  • Utility room on the lower ground floor with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.
  • WiFi.
  • Cot and highchair available. 

SLEEPING:

  • Plush and stylish master bedroom on the second floor featuring a super king zip and link bed (can be made into two singles), single pull out bed, 36 inch TV with full Sky package, built in wardrobe, two bedside tables, fan, sea views, doors out onto a private balcony with views out to the ocean in the distance.
  • Ensuite with luxurious rainfall shower, heated towel rail, wash basin and wc.
  • Second bedroom on the second floor featuring a super king zip and link bed (can be made into two singles), wardrobe, two bedside tables, fan and ensuite with rainfall shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
  • Third bedroom on the ground floor featuring super king zip and link bed (can be made into two singles), 40 inch TV with full Sky package, built in wardrobe, fan and two bedside tables.
  • Fourth bedroom on the ground floor featuring king size zip and link bed (can be made into two singles), 32 inch TV with full Sky package, wardrobe, fan and two bedside tables.
  • All TVs include the full Sky package with Sports, Film and Netflix. Only three can be using Sky at any one time but other channels are also avaliable.
  • Family bathroom on the second floor with bath, handheld shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

OUTSIDE:

  • Private garden with astro turf lawn behind the house. 
  • Private gated driveway entrance at the front, with communal garden area.
  • Parking for two vehicles in front of the property. Further parking at Porth beach car park or on nearby roads.
  • Hot outdoor shower.
  • Two spacious balconies.

NEED TO KNOW:

  • Two dogs allowed (additional charges apply). 
  • Sorry, no smoking within the property or anywhere on the premises. 
  • Refundable damage deposit of £250, due with full balance. 
  • Short breaks available outside of school holidays.
