The walk to the beach

75 metres across the road onto the wide expanse of Porth beach


Less than 100 metres away from Porth beach; a wide sandy beach sheltered by two headlands, 3 The Strand is a contemporary four bedroom house over three floors.

When children draw a seaside scene, they draw Porth. Streams, rockpools and caves beg to be explored, whilst a sweep of beach provides ample terrain for sandcastle building and sand-fairy making. Families, adventurers and explorers of all ages will lose hour after happy hour here.

A narrow wooden footbridge leads to Porth Island, a headland full of history. Watch in awe at mid tide, particularly on windy days, as the blow hole shoots rainbow sprays of water. Embrace the theatre of Porth Island any time of day or all year round, just wrap up warm and bring a camera to capture dramatic sunrises and storms alike.

Back down on the beach, melted strawberry ice cream drips down sides of candy cones and sizzling tapas is served at Porth's beachside eateries. Once you've soaked up the Porth scene, try heading towards Newquay's bays, up the coast path to Whipsiderry and Watergate, or towards the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth and Bedruthan Steps.

  • Second floor with two bedrooms: En-suite master bedroom with super king bed, balcony and sea views. Second bedroom with king size zip & link bed, en-suite shower room and garden view.  
  • First floor with spacious kitchen, living and dining room and a private balcony offering sea views.
  • Ground floor with one double bedroom and one bunk bed room with a separate family bathroom.
  • Lower ground floor with utility room and garage. Parking for two vehicles (one in secured garage one on driveway).
  • WiFi and private garden at the rear.
  • There is ring door bell camera at this property which monitors the driveway and front door.


  • One well behaved dog allowed.
  • Please note there is a seasonal dog ban on Porth beach between 10am to 6pm from 15 May to 30 September.
  • No smoking within the property.
  • Refundable damage deposit of £250, due with full balance.
  • Parking for 2 cars in secure garage and on driveway. Please be aware the driveway is steep, vehicles will need to be secured by handbrake. The garage may be unsuitable for particularly low vehicles due to the incline. Any additional cars must be parked off site.
  • Please note that the dining area is located within close proximity of the stairwell, care should be taken to prevent a fall.

  • Newquay town centre and it's fabulous choice of beaches are a short walk in the opposite direction.
