THE WALK TO THE BEACH?

Short! Just cross the quiet access road and you're on the sand.


Where Is It?

Situated between Newquay and Watergate Bay on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Porth is a large, west-facing sandy beach, sheltered by headlands on either side and with a cafe, restaurant and pub right next to the beach.

Porth is the kind of beach that kids dream of with sheltered soft sand and rock pools galore, a stream flowing down to the shoreline and even an island with a wooden bridge across to it.

Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming and bodyboarding. Even during the height of summer, Porth provides a sense of peace.

Inside:

  • The Beach House is in a fantastic position just a few paces from the beach at the sheltered, sandy bay of Porth.
  • Described by previous guests as 'a tremendous apartment in a gorgeous location'.
  • The bi-fold patio doors leading from the lounge and master bedroom onto the sun terrace blur the boundaries between outdoors and indoors and make the most of the sea views.
  • The ground floor location is perfect for those with limited mobility.
  • Incredible views over the beach and out to sea, as well as across to Porth Island from both the terrace and the living area.
  • Living area with exceptional sea views and is equipped with HD television with Freeview and facilities for games consoles, DVD, music system with CD, DAB radio with bluetooth and USB connectivity and WiFi.
  • Dining area with table and 4 chairs.
  • Kitchen area with oven, hob, extractor, microwave oven, fridge- freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher.
  • Iron, ironing board, travel cot, high chair, hairdryer and telephone for incoming calls provided.
  • Gas central heating throughout.

Sleeping:

  • Master bedroom with direct sea views and access onto the large private terrace through the bi-fold door and king size bed with memory foam mattress.
  • En-suite shower room with shower enclosure including rain shower head, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
  • Twin bedroom with two single beds with memory foam mattresses.
  • Family bathroom with bath with shower over, touch sensor mirror, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Outside:

  • Private furnished sun terrace.
  • Level access to the beach.
  • Communal entrance with intercom.
  • Designated parking space for one car.

Need to know:

  • Level access to this ground floor apartment with entrance hallway leading to all other rooms.
  • Sorry, no smoking within the apartment or anywhere on the premises.
  • 1 well-behaved dog welcome (additional charge applies), but please note that between 1 May and 30 September dogs are only allowed on Porth beach before 9am and after 7pm. There are plenty of other dog walking options within walking distance (Porth Headland & Lusty Glaze Headland) and some all year dog friendly beaches not too far away (Watergate Bay, Fistral & Mawgan Porth).
  • Cautionary deposit of £50 required when booking.
  • Short breaks available outside of school holidays.
  • Book a 3 or 5 night break and get an extra 2 nights free. This offer is only available after October half-term and before Easter, excluding school holidays. Only available to book by telephone on 01637 861005.

  • For the more energetic is a beach walk all the way to Watergate Bay at low tide which is a fantastic walk and you can finish it off with a sundowner at The Beach Hut or the Jamie Oliver inspired restaurant Fifteen Cornwall which both overlook the sand, before heading back on the coast path.
