THE WALK TO THE BEACH?

Short! Just cross the quiet access road and you're on the sand.


Where Is It?

Situated between Newquay and Watergate Bay on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Porth is a large, west-facing sandy beach, sheltered by headlands on either side and with a cafe, restaurant and pub right next to the beach.

Porth is the kind of beach that kids dream of with sheltered soft sand and rock pools galore, a stream flowing down to the shoreline and even an island with a wooden bridge across to it.

Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming and bodyboarding. Even during the height of summer, Porth provides a sense of peace.

Inside:

  • This contemporary apartment has a perfect position overlooking Porth Beach, Porth Island and out to sea - the view from the private balcony is glorious and light fills the rooms.
  • Number 10's location on the second floor (there is a lift from the lobby) doesn't just give it fantastic views - there's also a lovely sense of privacy and peace, with no road noise.
  • With the beach right outside and Porth's cafes, restaurants and pub just a moment's stroll away, great ways to relax are on your doorstep at 10 Beach House.
  • Open plan living/dining/kitchen area with full width bi-fold patio doors giving access to the private balcony, making the most of the uninterrupted sea views.
  • Living area with 32 inch widescreen television with Freeview, WiFi and DVD player.
  • Dining area with table and 4 chairs.
  • Kitchen area with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, hob, oven and extractor and microwave.
  • Spacious hallway with plenty of room for coats, shoes etc.
  • Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, highchair, travel cot and a selection of books and games included.
  • Central heating throughout.

Sleeping:

  • Large double bedroom with full-width patio doors and Juliet balcony with sea views.
  • En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, basin, heated towel rail and WC.
  • A versatile, good-sized second bedroom with a zip and link bed which can be used as a king size bed or twin singles.
  • Family bathroom with bath with shower over, heated towel rail, basin and WC.

Outside:

  • Private furnished sea view balcony plus Juliet balcony accessed from master bedroom.
  • Communal entrance with intercom.
  • Access to the apartment is by stairs or a lift that serves all upper floors.
  • Designated parking space for one car immediately outside the apartment.

Need to know:

  • Located on the second floor.
  • Sorry, no smoking within the apartment or anywhere on the premises.
  • One well behaved dog welcome (additional charge applies), but please note that dogs are only allowed on Porth beach before 9am and after 7pm between 1 May and 30 September. There are plenty of other dog walking options within walking distance (Porth Headland & Lusty Glaze Headland) and some all year dog friendly beaches not too far away (Watergate Bay, Fistral & Mawgan Porth).
  • Refundable damage deposit of £100, due with full balance.
  • Short breaks available outside of school holidays.
  • Book a 3 or 5 night break and get an extra 2 nights free. This offer is only available after October half-term and before Easter, excluding school holidays. Only available to book by telephone on 01637 861005.

  • For the more energetic is a beach walk all the way to Watergate Bay at low tide which is a fantastic walk and you can finish it off with a sundowner at The Beach Hut or the Jamie Oliver inspired restaurant Fifteen Cornwall which both overlook the sand, before heading back on the coast path.
