THE WALK TO THE BEACH?

75 metres across the road onto the wide expanse of Porth beach


Where is it?

Less than 100 metres away from Porth beach; a wide sandy beach sheltered by two headlands, 1 The Strand is a contemporary four bedroom house over three floors.

Nestled between Watergate Bay and Fistral headland, Porth is a charming waterfront village with a teahouse, cafe, restaurant, pub and boutique shop.  The beach is popular with families for its flat golden sand and shallow waters, while surfers enjoy catching the Atlantic swells.

Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming and bodyboarding. Even during the height of summer, Porth provides a sense of peace and space.

Located on the south west coast path, Porth offers fantastic walks with inspiring sea views. Join the path north to Watergate Bay for Zacry's restaurant, Watchful Mary bar and The Beach Hut. Follow the coast path south to Lusty Glaze, Newquay and Fistral headland.

Inside:

  • A brand new house over four floors, less than a 5 minute walk from Porth beach between Newquay and Watergate Bay. 
  • Spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining room on the second floor with a private balcony offering sea views. 
  • Living room with a large corner sofa, two chairs, coffee table, 55 inch wall mounted smart tv and large doors leading onto the private balcony with sea views in the distance.
  • Dining area with large wooden table and chairs, seating up to eight guests. 
  • Fully equipped kitchen with Neff electric hob, oven, grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, kitchen island, three breakfast bar stools and door leading out to the garden.
  • Lower ground floor with utility room consisting of washing machine and dryer. 
  • WiFi.

Sleeping:

  • Second floor Master bedroom with super king size bed, en-suite shower room, balcony and sea views.
  • Second bedroom with a super king zip & link bed (can be made into two singles, bedside tables, lamps, hanging rail and garden view. En-suite with luxurious rainfall shower, touch screen led light mirror, heated towel rail, wash basin and wc.  
  • Ground floor super king zip and link bedroom (can be made into two singles), bedside tables, lamps and access to private patio. 
  • Ground floor with chalet bunk bedroom with a double and single bed on top, bedside table and hanging rail with drawers. 
  • Luxury family bathroom with free standing bath, heated towel rail, wash basin and wc. 

Outside:

  • Private garden accessible from the kitchen with garden furniture and seating for eight guests. 
  • Parking for two vehicles (one in secured garage one on driveway). 
  • Balcony accessible from the living room with sea views.   
  • Balcony accessible from master bedroom with sea views. 
  • Ground floor private patio. 
  • Outside surf shower. 
  • Secured gated development.

Need to know:

  • Sorry no dogs allowed.
  • No smoking within the property.
  • Refundable damage deposit of £500 due with full balance.
  • Parking for 2 cars in secure garage and on driveway. Please be aware the driveway is steep, vehicles will need to be secured by hand brake. The garage may be unsuitable for particularly low vehicles due to the incline.
  • Short breaks available outside of school holidays.
  • Book a 3 or 5 night break and get an extra 2 nights free. This offer is only available after October half-term and before Easter, excluding school holidays. Only available to book by telephone on 01637 861005.

  • Trevelgue Head (also known as Porth Island).
