The Details

  • Location

    Where Is It?

White Horses is situated in a picturesque rural area just a few minutes walk from Perranporth village.

Perranporth is unique in landscape and atmosphere, inviting families, walkers, and adventurers of all ages to explore its terrain. Its wild cliffs and countryside inspired Winston Graham to write the Poldark novels, and it's easy to see why.

Hike atop vast hills, seek out secret caves or paddle on the shoreline, feeling the soft embrace of the sand. At low tide, wild swim in Perranporth's natural open air pool, its waters reaching Mediterranean temperatures in the summer months. At sunset, sip a glass of Chardonnay at The Watering Hole, the UK's only restaurant and bar on a beach, which hosts live music, comedy and beach activities all year round.

From colourful streets dotted with alternative boutiques to a golf club on the green cliff tops, it is easy to while away hour after happy hour in this bubbly coastal town. Yet its central position on the North Cornwall coast makes Perranporth the perfect base for heading further afield, too. A short drive will take you to the surfer's paradise of Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Or, head south for the heritage coastline and unspoiled bays of St Agnes.

Guest Reviews

"We're met by friendly welcoming hosts on arrival. Flowers, cream tea and wine amongst welcome goodies. Lovely location overlooking Perranporth, next to riding school."

"We loved our stay. The cottage was beautiful and the location was perfect. We had two small dogs that enjoyed the secure freedom they had in the garden and the easy walks into town. The summerhouse was a wonderful place for an early morning cuppa or late night drinks admiring the sunset. We highly recommend White Horses for couples, dog owners or small families. Thanks for a fantastic stay."

"What a wonderful little gem, White Horses was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. Views of the sea from the lounge window so you can watch the sunset with a glass of wine (or a cuppa!) Short walk to the vast beach with pub for a cheeky pint 🙂 Fabulous hosts who left us to enjoy our week of relaxation. The garden was lovely and big for the dogs to enjoy, not 100% secure for our hedge scaler but they still enjoyed it a lot. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning at some point."

"Lovely property, in a great position, which exceeded our expectations. Intelligently equipped and laid out with the huge bonus of a Summer House. Good weather helped but a fantastic week. The owners could not have been more welcoming."

The views were amazing with the added bonus of a stables next door the horses popped their heads over the wall. Not to far to walk to the beach. Had a wonderful stay. would definitely recommend. "

"Just back from a 10-night stay at White Horses. A beautiful, charming holiday property packed with charm and character. Everything was perfect for our arrival, including a lovely gift basket with treats for humans and doggies. Beautiful private garden with an amazing sea view. Also the garden is very secure which was perfect for our 2 dogs. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly with advice and help at any time. Located just next door they were always on hand but also discreet leaving us in our own space to relax. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning for a second visit."

"The property was very clean and warm when I arrived on a dull, cold day. The owners were very welcoming and if I'd been staying longer would have taken up the offer of fresh eggs from their hens! I managed to make use of the summer house in the private garden before the weather turned scary. The views were wonderful. It was lovely being able to see Perranporth and the sea from the relaxing garden and living room window whilst avoiding the hustle, bustle and noise down in the town. I'd love to visit again when the weather allows more use of the garden and walking down to the beach. It makes such a difference when a holiday cottage has flowers, wine, and a welcome cream tea when you arrive. Lovely property."

"The property was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped with everything needed to really feel like a home from home (inc a huge range of kitchen utensils for an enthusiastic cook!). The location was great and the sea views were exactly the wow factor we were after. Highly recommended. "
