WORLD-CLASS WATERSPORTS AND TOP RESTAURANTS, ALL WITH AN INCREDIBLE SUNSET BACKDROP.

The beat of your heart in the surf, the taste of fried fish and juicy burgers, the smell of sea salt on your skin, the sight of people dotted about, smiling and laughing, in and out of the topaz blue sea. It’s all part and parcel of Watergate Bay, the adrenalin junkie’s paradise embodying the spirit of the North Cornwall coast.

Scarlet sunsets set the sky alight as you dine in the swanky beachfront eateries or sip hot chocolate on the sand. Watergate’s two miles of sand are popular with families, couples and dogs alongside surfers and thrill seekers. Stride out on a long ramble or short jaunt along the coast path, with nearby walks to Newquay’s seven bays or Mawgan Porth.

Plunge into watersports lessons from the Extreme Academy, where you can try your hand at surfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and kite surfing. The beach is exposed to incoming swell from the Atlantic, making it an excellent place for water activities of all kinds.

The lively atmosphere at Watergate is as constant as the tides. Vibrant music festivals and surf competitions run throughout the year.
