The rural idyllic location, rolling green hills and tranquillity come as standard here.
400 metres down to the village and beach along the road.
Porth Farm Cottages are set back a few hundred metres from the village centre and sandy shorefront.
Mawgan Porth is a beach that gets it just right- a stretch of white sand, a swirling ocean and a handful of tasty eateries. Little feet can splash about in the trickling river and leave tiny footprints on the sand, perhaps joined by pawprints (as the beach is dog friendly all year round).
The beachfront street is dotted with shops, cafes and an activity centre, King Surf. Try your hand at mastering the waves or let off steam at the seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt course, based near a historic Iron Age site.
If you fancy stretching your legs, take the steady amble up the South West coast path towards neighbouring Watergate Bay or Bedruthan Steps, where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Padstow is a little further afield, 20 minutes away by car.

Lovely property and well equipped with everything we needed. There was even some milk, tea and coffee when we arrived and a bucket and spade and sweets for the kids. It had its own dishwasher and washing machine as well as communal laundry and drying facilities and a games room and swings and a zip wire! Mawgan Porth was great with plenty of shops and places to eat and great beach.

The cottage had everything we needed, it was very clean, comfy beds and great location. Also great to have a lovely cottage that is also dog friendly.
AR, August 2019
Beautiful, cosy cottage, well equipped and dogs friendly. My favourite in this area!
AN, June 2018
An ideal cottage for us, with all the amenities and a great place for an inter generational get together. It all felt very welcoming and although not on the beach, close enough for us all to enjoy it without too much travel. The younger members loved the surfing and had a very successful fishing trip out of Newquay on one of the days. We would all return to the same cottage if the opportunity arises.
PT, October 2018
Great cottage, comfortable and high quality furnishings. It is great being able to walk down to the beach, with a great food shop (and owners!) good restaurants and facilities without the masses of crowds you find at other places like St Ives!
MN, September 2019
My fourth visit to this property and it never disappoints. I look forward to my 5th stay!
