    Where is it?

    4 Cannery Row is located in a contemporary development in Hayle, sitting directly on the beautiful waterfront of Hayle estuary and just a short walk from the three-mile expanse of golden sandy beach, stretching from Hayle Towans across to Godrevy Point beach in west Cornwall.

    Hayle sits at the mouth of an estuary, nestled between St Ives and Gwithian. The town is home to top notch ice cream and pasty shops for hungry stomachs, while the soft sands of the river's banks cry out for a paddle as it weaves its way towards the shoreline. St Ives Bay stretches from Hayle estuary to Godrevy lighthouse, miles of golden sand and expansive horizon. A little further along the beach's stretch you'll find Gwithian, flat open sand perfect for racing, kite flying and horse riding too- you'll often see ponies being taken for a canter in the shallows.

    Before long, Gwithian morphs into Godrevy and the iconic lighthouse stands proud on the skyline, rearing up from its rocky outcrop bright white against the sky. Famed for inspiring Virgina Woolf's novel To the Lighthouse, it's a feature of the landscape loved by locals, surfers and visitors alike. From here, the rugged coastline sweeps away from the beach and over the National Trust owned headland to the inaccessible Mutton Cove, home to a Grey seal colony.

    Back in Hayle, the Saltings nature reserve is a prime place for murmurations in the shoulder months and Carbis Bay and St Ives are a short hop away by train. The ultimate scenic route, it clings to the coastline promising photo-worthy vistas galore.

    • Spacious open plan living, kitchen and diner on the first floor, with a balcony offering stunning uninterrupted views over Hayle estuary.

    • Beautiful living space features a sofa, two chairs, coffee table, side tables, TV, sound bar, magazine rack and wall to wall glass sliding doors which can be opened entirely, revealing the proximity to the water. The doors lead onto the balcony which looks down onto the water just below.
    • Dining space with a table, bench and chairs seating six, with views of the water.
    • Fully equipped kitchen with central island and three stools, induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, washer dryer and door with Juliette balcony.
    • Travel cot and highchair available.
    • WiFi.
    • Underfloor heating throughout.

    Sleeping:

    • Master bedroom on the second floor with a king size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing table and stool and en-suite shower room with walk in rainfall shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. This beautifully designed bedroom has a mezzanine floor with a glass balcony overlooking the living area. Please note this bedroom does not have a door and is not suitable for children.
    • Bedroom two with a super king zip and link bed (can be made into two singles) on the ground floor, with wardrobe, bedside tables and stunning sea views through the glass sliding doors which lead out onto a second private balcony, the water immediately below. Second bedroom also features an en-suite shower room with walk in rainfall shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
    • Bedroom three on the ground floor features two single beds, a bedside table and hanging rail.
    • Family bathroom featuring a bath with shower overhead, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

    Outside:

    • Ground floor terrace with two chairs, a side table and amazing sea views directly beyond, accessible from the ground floor bedroom.
    • Second balcony with two chairs and a table and immediate sea views accessed from the living room.
    • Private parking for one vehicle on the drive. Additional parking nearby.

"4 of us stayed here from 4th to 10th May 2023 and we found the property ideal for our needs. It is spacious, clean, comfortable and has everything needed for a stay in this part of Cornwall. Certainly lives up to the listing photographs although it is more spacious than the photographs would have you believe. It is also close to the eateries and other amenities that Hayle had to offer and has 2 balconies that overlook the Estuary into the Harbour. Ideal on a warm summer evening, after a day spent sightseeing. It is also conveniently located to explore the central and South Western part of Cornwall. The Eden Project is only an hours drive away. Hayle train station is also a short walk away. It also has a 22kWh Podpoint Wallbox electric charger with a Type 2/CCS tethered connector which I found very convenient as I have an EV. The charging cost is currently included in the rental. All in all this is a pretty decent property to rent and would definitely recommend it.
