The Details

  • Location

    Where is it?

Sea View is semi-detached house in West Pentire, close to Polly Joke's secluded cove and Crantock's sweeping sands. Soak up sea and countryside views in this tranquil retreat which sits right in the heart of the rural Cornish coastline.

Crantock beach is tucked between sand dunes, which stand level with the wailing gulls dancing above the waves. Its sweep of sand marked by a winding river which flows towards the gaping mouth of the ocean. Come closer to feel the feathery tickle of sand on your toes and hear the gentle waves whispering tales of the ocean to the shoreline.

Grab a board and take to the surf, snorkel around secret caves or take a dip, keeping an eye out for any dolphins who may pass by for a visit! Spend a day paddling, crabbing and seashell searching along the River Gannel, which runs onto Crantock Beach.

In Crantock village you'll experience the quiet Cornish lifestyle, with thatch roofed cottages and vintage tea rooms lining little country lanes. Head up to West Pentire in the early summer months to see fields bursting with red poppies and yellow corn marigolds or enjoy a trail of sandy coves and dramatic views on the walk from Crantock to Holywell Bay. Keep your eyes peeled in the coves below the coast path for an abundance of seals that often bathe in the sun. If you spot them, please be respectful, keep a distance and your voices low to avoid distubing them.

Guest Reviews

"We absolutely loved the house it was perfect for 5 adults and 4 children. The decor of the property
was beautiful with lovely seaside themed furnishings/pictures/candles/shelves of books. The view from the balcony was amazing and we spent most nights star gazing whilst sipping champagne and cocktails! The open plan lounge / dining/ kitchen area was gorgeous and so nice for dining/relaxing and partying all together with the family. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. The garden was enclosed and great for us and the children to run around and play and we were delighted to find so many things to play with in the shed/storage container. We inflated the boat/dingy one day and had lots of fun on the beach. We spent most days on Crantock Beach which is just a 10 minute walk away and the weather was stunning too whilst we were there. "

"Our first time in Cornwall and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home to wake up in with our friends and family and celebrated New Years Eve. It is an absolutely stunning home in a beautiful location.
Every day we enjoyed beach walks with our all the dogs - Crantock, Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay are all highlights! Despite the weather being cold, windy and rainy most days, we still loved exploring Cornwall, and the house was so cosy and warm to come back to each day.
It was a pleasure to spend the week here, we have never stayed anywhere so big and clean, with views like this in the UK. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing a perfect home with us, we will never forget our stay.

"This is a little gem to stay at. It's actually our second time at the property and the owners have clearly been making improvements that enhance all Sea View has to offer. Superb views and facilities, with plenty of entertainment features and parking outside the door. We will be back at some point in the future for sure!"

"The property has fantastic views and facilities and is situated for the 'quieter pace' of life away from busy Newquay. Lovely little village situation with a few Pubs, close to Coastal Path + walks to Beaches and other areas of interest. Has all the unnecessary entertainment such as Sky TV, Netflix and DVD/Bluray Player + if you look further, there are plenty of Books and Games around the Property to keep you occupied on a 'rainy day' should you encounter one. Overall - Superb! We will be looking to book again as we loved it so much."
