The best thing about:

The location in the heart of picture-postcard Mousehole.

The walk to the beach

60 metres down to the harbour beach.

WHERE IS IT?

Pilchards Cottage is perfectly placed in the heart of Mousehole in west Cornwall, with just a 1-minute walk down a cobbled alley wall until you meet the sea. You'll find plenty of art galleries, cafes, boutique shops and restaurants on your doorstep, all within a 2-minute walk of this former fisherman's cottage.

Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village in west Cornwall, with a pretty harbour, popular for retaining its original character, charm and beauty. It's cobbled narrow streets and yellow lichened fishermen's houses huddle together, making this a stunning location to visit.

Perch on the harbour wall with a picnic, spend the day on the beach as the tide goes out, or watch the fishermen's boats bobbing on the horizon. Guests staying in Mousehole will find an abundance of things to see and do during their stay.

  • We had a wonderful holiday in Pilchard Cottage couldn't have asked for a lovelier place to stay, really well equipped, comfortable and amazing location. We particularly loved the outdoor space and approach to the cottage - quite unique in Mousehole.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Pilchard Cottage in Mousehole. The interior design is very stylish and cozy and is very well equipped and clean. As a family of four we had all the space we needed. The location is in the middle of this charming little village. There were some lovely scones and tea waiting for us when we arrived

  • We loved that you had decorated for Christmas and left mince pies etc. There was everything in the house that you could need, the decoration was tasteful, the beds comfy and I could happily have moved in.
