5 Moonrakers is situated just moments from the sandy shorefront of Mawgan Porth and its surrounding coastpath.
Mawgan Porth is a beach that gets it just right- a stretch of white sand, a swirling ocean and a handful of tasty eateries. Little feet can splash about in the trickling river and leave tiny footprints on the sand, perhaps joined by pawprints (as the beach is dog friendly all year round).
The beachfront street is dotted with shops, cafes and an activity centre, King Surf. Try your hand at mastering the waves or let off steam at the seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt course, based near a historic Iron Age site.
If you fancy stretching your legs, take the steady amble up the South West coast path towards neighbouring Watergate Bay or Bedruthan Steps, where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Padstow is a little further afield, 20 minutes away by car.

Ideal base to visit Cornwall. Apartment well equipped and clean, right near to beach with Merrymoor inn pub serving good food on your doorstep. This was the 2nd time we have stopped here and would book again

Superb, well equiped, great layout, warm and light, extremely clean - cleanest place we have stayed in, and well decorated. Great location too a minute from the beach and lovely view across river valley with its changing light.

Lovely well maintained apartment in prime position. Moonrakers 5 was a short walk to the beach and all amenities the village had to offer. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to 5 Moonrakers for our first wedding anniversary. The location was a perfect base for exploring. Mawgan Porth is beautiful with excellent amenities and the beach was doggy heaven for our pup. We would definitely return.

5 Moonrakers is a lovely combination of being so close to the beach yet also having beautiful country views from the lounge & bedrooms. The property is light & bright with modern kitchen/bathrooms, a nice little balcony and communal outside space
