Embrace the festive season with a trip to Padstow’s annual Christmas Festival. See the idyllic waterside location come alive with celebrity chefs, culinary delights and festive market stalls.
Nestled in the shelter of the Camel Estuary, the Padstow Christmas Festival is one of the UK’s largest Christmas feasts. With more than 100 local food and craft artisans selling an array of gifts and products, the festival is one not to be missed.
Brimming with local produce, from homemade pies and pasties to Christmas cake and treats, the four-day event celebrates all things Cornish. Ales and ciders from Cornwall’s favourite breweries will also be on offer.
Food lovers will delight in the festival kitchen theatre showcasing local chefs and their culinary skills, along with the county’s best produce.
Yuletide entertainment is provided throughout the weekend. Festival-goers can expect to see the arrival of Santa on a horse drawn Victorian bus, a spectacular firework display, live music, carol concerts and a lantern parade.
Amid scenic estuary views and carols around the Christmas tree, visitors can explore Padstow’s boutique retailers during late night shopping. With a variety of independent retailers mixed with favourite high street brands, Padstow’s harbour is a great place to be in December. The fishing village is illuminated with a warm glow from cheerful Christmas lights while the calm waters reflect the spectacular fireworks that light up the Cornish sky. Soak up the merry atmosphere and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy a meal in one of the town’s renowned restaurants and go for a relaxing drink at one of the many cafes and pubs.
