Location
Where is it?
Porthtowan sits at the foot of high cliffs on the north coast of Cornwall, not far from the arguably better known St Agnes. The village has a lovely relaxed, off-the-beaten-path feel, with a very pretty sandy beach backed by dunes. There's a handful of cafes, pubs and restaurants, plus surf hire and lessons and great walks to neighbouring beaches along the coast path to keep you busy.

- Please note, 3, The Beach is accessed from the car park by 63 steps, so may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
- Sorry, no pets.
- Cautionary deposit of £150, due with full balance.
- Short breaks available after 1st Friday in November until Easter only (excluding half terms and school holidays).

"We had a wonderful stay in the apartment with an amazing location right on the beach - could never tire of waking up those awesome sea views. We loved being able to head down to the beach for bodyboarding or rock pooling and then back to warm up in the cosy apartment. The village has all you need too with a shop, cafes and a pub so we didn't need to drive anywhere. We hope to return again one day. "
"We really enjoyed our stay at Beach Retreats, Porthtowan. The apartment was perfect, lovely sea view from the balcony and it was spectacular listening to the waves crashing against the rocks whilst drifting off to sleep. It was just the break we needed and have returned home reset and rested.
The location is perfect for exploring some of Cornwall's most idyllic beaches. We'll most definitely be making a return soon.
