Out the front door and 100 metres down the path and steps to the beach below.
The view, the space, the finish, hot tub and games room, the gardens.
When children draw a seaside scene, they draw Porth. Streams, rockpools and caves beg to be explored, whilst a sweep of beach provides ample terrain for sandcastle building and sand-fairy making. Families, adventurers and explorers of all ages will lose hour after happy hour here.
A narrow wooden footbridge leads to Porth Island, a headland full of history. Watch in awe at mid tide, particularly on windy days, as the blow hole shoots rainbow sprays of water. Embrace the theatre of Porth Island any time of day or all year round, just wrap up warm and bring a camera to capture dramatic sunrises and storms alike.
Back down on the beach, melted ice cream drips down sides of candy cones and pizza is served at Porth's beachside eateries. Once you've soaked up the Porth scene, try heading towards Newquay's bays, up the coast path to Watergate, or towards the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth.
“This felt homely and welcoming in an outstanding location with stunning views and easy, very quick access to the beautiful, expansive beach. The walk to the headland and island opposite was easy for our multi generational family and spectacular. The Breakers is spacious and displays fab views from most rooms. We found it to be very clean, immaculate towels, bedding and really comfy beds. We all slept very well, despite some hail and gales! Lots of board games and a great selection of books available. My new Grandson and his parents slept in the wing and although we're told he woke crying during the night, we didn't hear him, so ideal space for families peacefully sharing. The driveway is fairly narrow as indicated, but we had one long estate car plus a large van on the front drive. Our dogs loved the beach of course, but also sitting watching the sea and the seabirds' acrobatics from the lounge window. The garden is secured in all directions by gates although small dogs could wriggle through perhaps. The garden room is a perfect space for teens – a games room (with toilet and shower room) or for setting up a bar and food for just relaxing on the upper patio / hot tub. Overall, welcoming, comfy and views to remember forever.”
“Had a great short stay during Easter. Lovely location with stunning views. Home was nice and cosy. Neighbours brought round a cake which was a nice touch. The location is great for lots of walking and getting around but also quiet and tranquil.”
