The Courtyard, Kingsand and Cawsand

WHERE IS IT?

Positioned in the heart of this beautiful Cornish former fishing village, 100 metres from the beach, The Courtyard is perfect for an 'escape from it all' break.

Situated on the Rame Peninsula, known as Cornwall's forgotten corner, Kingsand and Cawsand are a pair of charming fishing villages untouched by time. With colourful wooden boats, shingle beach and woodland border, it is a popular destination for artists and those that wish to escape the crowds in this idyllic little bay. The crystal clear water here is often calm, perfect if you want to enjoy a morning dip, stand-up paddleboards or kayaks which can be hired on the beach.

Wander through colour washed cottages in a maze of narrow streets and discover quaint shops, art galleries and friendly pubs. For the more energetic, Whitsand Bay is around 2 1/2 miles away, doable in around an hour.  Leave the car behind in the village car park and enjoy a day of city life if you catch the Cawsand Ferry from the beach and enjoy a ride on the water before reaching Plymouth and its fantastic array of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. The ferry runs from Easter until the last Sunday in October.

• A duplex apartment on the ground and first floor, converted from a chapel to bring contemporary living to a historic building.
• On the ground floor there is a large open-plan living, kitchen and dining space, each with their own character.
• Fully equipped kitchen with a period charm, including a Belfast sink and wooden worktop.

SLEEPING:

• Ground floor twin bedroom.
• Two double bedrooms on the first floor, and a bunk room (suitable for children only)
• Family bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor.

OUTSIDE:

• Enclosed courtyard, perfect for barbecues, storing beach goods stand-up paddleboards and wetsuits.
• Parking is available at the top of village, charge payable.

• The South West Coast Path on your doorstep, to Penlee Point and Rame Head in one direction, and Mount Edgcumbe (house and country park) in the other through the Minnadhu park..
