The position - directly on the sandy beach at Porth

The Details

Location

Where is it?

Situated between Newquay and Watergate Bay on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Porth is a large, west-facing sandy beach, sheltered by headlands on either side and with a cafe, restaurant and pub right next to the beach.

When children draw a seaside scene, they draw Porth. Streams, rockpools and caves beg to be explored, whilst a sweep of beach provides ample terrain for sandcastle building and sand-fairy making. Families, adventurers and explorers of all ages will lose hour after happy hour here.

A narrow wooden footbridge leads to Porth Island, a headland full of history. Watch in awe at mid tide, particularly on windy days, as the blow hole shoots rainbow sprays of water. Embrace the theatre of Porth Island any time of day or all year round, just wrap up warm and bring a camera to capture dramatic sunrises and storms alike.

Back down on the beach, melted strawberry ice cream drips down sides of candy cones and sizzling tapas is served at Porth's beachside eateries. Once you've soaked up the Porth scene, try heading towards Newquay's bays, up the coast path to Whipsiderry and Watergate, or towards the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth and Bedruthan Steps.

Guest Reviews

Our stay was was lovely. The property was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We were very happy despite being there through storms Dudley and Eunice.
An amazing location with huge window as it's all about the view and being so close to the beach. The BBQ and equipment brilliant to have use of on the decked area- along with outdoor furniture. We loved staying here and absolutely as our little dogs also had a fantastic time- we've booked again for Spring!
We had a fabulous time, the property being directly on the beach is perfect for chilling out, enjoying the tides and the ever changing view in one of the most peaceful places we've stayed. Everything you need, a real home from home beachy vibe which we all enjoyed, Mimi & Albie our dogs loved their daily beach adventures especially as they didnt have to get in the car and drive to it, just out the door and theres the beach!
We arrived at Neyth Atlantek on a dark, cold evening but we certainly weren't cold once in the property. It was very warm, the decor and facilities are of a high standard which made our stay even more enjoyable. Such a kind gesture to provide some milk and essentials for the kitchen and blankets, not that we needed them as it was warm enough! The view from the balcony was breathtaking, we'd sit on the upper level on the comfy chairs and watch the waves and look at the stunning views. Porth beach is a dog walking dream, our cocker spaniel loved having her runs there. We cannot wait to return, Thank you for such a perfect holiday!!
