5 The Strand is a beautiful townhouse across four floors, positioned just a short walk from the sandy shores of Porth Beach.

When children draw a seaside scene, they draw Porth. Streams, rockpools and caves beg to be explored, whilst a sweep of beach provides ample terrain for sandcastle building and sand-fairy making. Families, adventurers and explorers of all ages will lose hour after happy hour here.

A narrow wooden footbridge leads to Porth Island, a headland full of history. Watch in awe at mid tide, particularly on windy days, as the blow hole shoots rainbow sprays of water. Embrace the theatre of Porth Island any time of day or all year round, just wrap up warm and bring a camera to capture dramatic sunrises and storms alike.

Back down on the beach, melted strawberry ice cream drips down sides of candy cones and sizzling tapas is served at Porth's beachside eateries. Once you've soaked up the Porth scene, try heading towards Newquay's bays, up the coast path to Whipsiderry and Watergate, or towards the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth and Bedruthan Steps.

  • All TVs include the full Sky package with Sports, Film and Netflix. Only three can be using Sky at any one time but other channels are also avaliable.

Long Golf & Spa weekend. The house was ideal for the 4 couples. Large garage for golf equipment along with table tennis; darts & an X-Box. We all had Sky in our bedrooms & on main floor.
We loved the garden for the sunbeds & large table & chairs where we all chilled out. Big dining table plus breakfast bar/stools. The girls loved the balconies on each floor & the views.
Beach 4 minutes’ walk away & 10 minutes to Newquay. Plenty of hanging space/cupboards esp in kitchen…wine fridge nice touch.
Excellent condition and lovely interior within the property. Kitchen ware was in very good condition and plenty of utensils/equipment. Toiletries were a pleasant addition as well. Would definitely return!
Lovely family getaway. Property freshly painted & seems brand new. We had lovely weather & enjoyed the garden furniture for a few meals whilst sunbathing at upper level on sunbeds provided. 3 balconies are nice to sit out on & see the sunset happen. Husband uses a scooter & found it easy to get to beach 75 metres away from the garage. Big Bath on ground floor was a treat whilst everyone said showers were lovely & powerful. TVs with Sky in every bedroom was a bonus & plenty of hanging space provided. Kids loved the Games room taking turns on X Box; Darts & Table Tennis.
We’ll be back many times in the future..
Place was ideal for the 4 couples that stayed – a large dining area table made food & games easy. Huge TV with Sky/Netflix & TV’s with Sky Boxes in each bedroom making wi-fi strong everywhere. Games room in massive garage had everything to keep us all entertained with nightly table tennis competition. 10 minute walk to Newquay & rail station & 20 minute walk to Lusty Glaze proved no need for cars as Train from London got us there in no time. Lots of cupboard space.
Every family member had something that they wanted from the house – Sky TV in every bedroom & lounge. Xbox, Darts & Table Tennis in the garage. Highchair & Cot for baby. 2 Dogs allowed to stay with us & outside Astro lawn made life easy for kids/dogs. Local pub 3 minute walk. Beach allows dogs to run around. Kids flying kites on beach even with the winter weather. BIG lounge/kitchen area with bar stools for us all to sit & chat whilst cooking. Short walk into town & lovely coastal paths.
Virtually brand new property & furnishings. 3 minute walk to the nearest beach which is beautiful. Garden area had everything & table furniture was very comfortable. Astro grass was great for kids plus Xbox/table tennis & darts in large garage. Easy parking in front of house. Outside shower for wetsuits FAB idea.
