An exclusive water sports destination, set across the water from Padstow
If you enjoy getting active on your Beach Retreats self-catering holiday, this could be the destination for you. The Camel Estuary, which flows between Rock and the picturesque Padstow Harbour, boasts fantastic water conditions, attracting avid water sport enthusiasts throughout the year. From kayaking, SUP safaris, and water skiing to wakeboarding, sailing, and more, there is something for all ages and abilities during a holiday in Rock.
The beach provides a long expanse of golden sand at low tide, leading around to Brea Hill and the popular Daymer Bay. Walk the South West Coast Path and take in the awe-inspiring views over the bays and out towards Padstow (where we also have a collection of properties).
If you prefer to sit back and relax while enjoying the finer things in life, Rock has a great choice of sophisticated eateries, including The Mariners and The Dining Room. Further afield, you can hop on a water taxi and enjoy an evening in Padstow dining at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, Paul Ainsworth’s No.6, or Rojanos. Self-catering holidays in Rock call for evenings dining out.

Food and drink
With day boats and trawlers landing their catch right outside, you’d be right to expect plenty of fish and seafood on the menu here. Locally made sandwiches, pasties or ice cream, cream teas in the garden, or laid-back fine dining overlooking the sea; you can take your pick during holidays in Rock.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome at Rock Beach all year round. With glorious sea views, the coast path from Rock Beach to Daymer Bay is another great place for running or walking your dog. Alternatively, head out to Padstow on the ferry for a walk along the harbour.

Accessibility
Rock’s main village amenities line the flat and level stretch from the car park to the Camel Ski School, making wheelchair access easy. Please remember the road is narrow and shared with cars. There are public WCs situated next to the main car park at the foot of the coastal path leading towards Daymer Bay.
