Set high on the slopes above Mawgan Porth, this spacious coastal retreat offers panoramic sea and countryside views – ideal for family getaways and group gatherings. With four bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests and bright open-plan living, there's plenty of room for everyone. The beach is 200 metres away downhill, where little feet can splash about in the trickling river and leave tiny footprints on the white sand, perhaps joined by pawprints as the beach is dog friendly all year round.
Inside, the ground floor features an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area with bi-fold patio doors opening out to the garden. The living area has a three-seater sofa, two armchairs, fixed seating and a 49-inch Smart TV, while the driftwood dining table seats eight. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and quartz worktops, with a utility area housing a washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. A ground-floor study with a 34-inch Smart TV, a desk and a selection of games is ideal for working away from home or entertaining the children. Of the four bedrooms – each with an en-suite – three have king-size beds and one has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be split into two singles. Outside, multiple spaces include a front deck with built-in and free-standing seating, an enclosed rear courtyard and a second front deck with sea views. An extensive terrace with a table and chairs is ready for outdoor dining, and a cold outdoor shower is handy for rinsing off after beach days. Parking is available on the front drive for four to five cars.
The beachfront street at Mawgan Porth is dotted with shops, cafes and a surf school where you can try your hand at mastering the waves. Seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt are based near a historic Iron Age site. For longer walks, the South West Coast Path leads towards neighbouring Watergate Bay or Bedruthan Steps, where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Padstow is also within easy reach by car.
