This cool and contemporary, garden-level apartment sits right on the edge of the sand at Porth Beach on the North Cornwall coast, offering families and keen surfers of all ages a front-row seat to one of Cornwall's most loved stretches of coastline. With direct traffic-free access onto the beach, streams, rock pools and caves beg to be explored. A narrow wooden footbridge leads across to Porth Island – a headland full of history where a blowhole shoots rainbow sprays of water at mid-tide on windy days.
Inside, a generous open-plan living area enjoys sea views through glass doors that open onto a sheltered private terrace – perfect for al fresco dining. The space is beautifully light and spacious, with a Smart TV set in front of soft seating. The kitchen includes a slimline wine fridge among its highlights. A utility cupboard houses a washing machine, and underfloor heating runs throughout. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, lovely sea views, and a door to the terrace, plus an en-suite shower room. A twin bedroom with two full-size single beds and a family bathroom with a bath and a shower overhead complete the sleeping arrangements. Outside, the private terrace has a table and chairs, while a secluded communal lawn area provides direct access onto the beach via steps and a stile – note that access to the beach varies due to differing sand levels throughout the year. One designated parking space is provided, with a lift from the car park level to the apartment.
Back on the beach, ice cream and pizza are served at Porth's beachside eateries. From here, join the South West Coast Path for scenic walks towards Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth (both within 4 miles). In the other direction is Newquay (1 mile), famous for its world-class surfing and wide choice of sandy beaches.
