Tucked away on a private road in Mawgan Porth, this beautifully designed, four-bedroom coastal house is an ideal spot for families and groups, just a few hundred metres from the sand. The reverse-level property enjoys rural and partial sea views over a stretch of white sand and ocean – little feet can splash about in the river and leave tiny footprints on the sand.


Upstairs, the spacious living area has high ceilings, two double sofas, and sliding doors opening onto a large balcony with countryside and partial sea views. A snug room sits beside it, divided by a double-faced, glass-enclosed wood burner, with a corner sofa and a Smart TV. The open-plan kitchen and dining area includes wooden breakfast stools around an island, plus a table seating up to ten, while the sleek kitchen features everything needed for a self-catered stay. On the ground floor, four bedrooms sleep up to ten guests, all with countryside views. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, while a second super-king-size room can convert to twins on request and features pull-out beds for two additional guests. Two king-size bedrooms complete the sleeping arrangements, one of which benefits from an en-suite shower room. A family bathroom with a free-standing bath, plus a separate shower room, complete the ground floor. Outside, an enclosed garden and furnished patio invite al fresco meals using the charcoal BBQ. A first-floor balcony is furnished for relaxation, and you’ll also find secure storage space and private parking for four cars.


The beachfront at Mawgan Porth (300 metres) is dotted with shops, cafes, and a surf school. For a longer stretch of the legs, the South West Coast Path leads to neighbouring Watergate Bay (2.5 miles) or Bedruthan Steps (3 miles), where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Padstow is just 8.5 miles away.
