Part of a small development of six eco houses, the property looks out across a long, unspoilt stretch of sandy beach and craggy cliffs with a 'big sky' feel and an endless horizon. The beach is less than a minute away – across the lawn, through the gateway and down half a dozen steps.

The reverse-style layout places the three bedrooms on the ground floor and the living space above, making the most of the sea views. Upstairs, the spacious open-plan living area features a wood burner, big windows and a patio door opening onto a full-width balcony with uninterrupted views out to sea. A galleried dining area sits alongside the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a wine fridge. The master bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed, floor-to-ceiling windows with a patio door onto a private sea-view terrace, and a generous en-suite with a standalone bath and large rainfall shower. A second bedroom offers the same king-size zip-and-link flexibility with its own sea-view terrace, while the third has chalet-style bunk beds – a single above a small double – with an en-suite shower room. Underfloor heating runs throughout. Outside, a generous private terrace overlooks the lawn and sea, complete with recliners and a firepit, and the fenced garden leads to a communal lawn stretching down to the beach. Parking is provided for two cars.

Widemouth Bay is known for its great surf, with lifeguard cover throughout the summer season making it a popular spot for beginners and more seasoned surfers alike. Beyond the waves, there are all kinds of activities on offer nearby including coasteering, windsurfing, kitesurfing, bike hire, canoeing, kayaking and even archery. The bay itself has a relaxed vibe with a handful of pubs and cafes, while Bude – less than 3 miles away – has plenty of restaurants and a wide range of shops from supermarkets to surf and lifestyle stores.
