Watergate Bay's two miles of sand are popular with surfers and thrill seekers, and watersports lessons are on offer – try surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and kite surfing on a beach exposed to incoming Atlantic swell. Stride out on a long ramble or short jaunt along the coast path, with nearby walks to Newquay's seven bays or Mawgan Porth. Vibrant music festivals and surf competitions run throughout the year, keeping the lively atmosphere as constant as the tides.
