This two-bedroom upside-down living retreat maximises views across Porth beach and the headland – a stretch of coastline that could have been drawn by a child's hand. Streams, rockpools, and caves beg to be explored, while a sweep of beach provides ample terrain for sandcastle building and sand-fairy making. Families, adventurers, and explorers of all ages will lose hour after happy hour here.
Upstairs, the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space makes the most of ocean and countryside views through sliding patio doors. The living area features a large three-seater sofa and two-seater sofa bed, a 47-inch Smart TV, and DAB radio. A large oak dining table seats six, and the kitchen is fully equipped. A utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Downstairs, the master bedroom offers a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made up as a twin, a built-in wardrobe, and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom also has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed which can also be made up as a twin. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the layout. Step outside to an upstairs balcony overlooking Porth Beach – the perfect spot for a morning coffee – or head out into the enclosed garden with table and chairs for six. A surf store sits to the rear, and one designated off-street parking space is provided.
Venture down to the beach and a narrow wooden footbridge leads to Porth Island, a headland full of history. Watch in awe at mid tide – particularly on windy days – as the blow hole shoots rainbow sprays of water. Embrace the theatre of Porth Island any time of day and all year round; just wrap up warm and bring a camera to capture dramatic sunrises and storms alike. Back down on the beach, eateries serve up pizza and ice cream. Head south along the coast path to Lusty Glaze Beach (0.5 miles), or walk north towards Watergate Bay (1.5 miles) and Mawgan Porth (3.5 miles).
