Perched on the cliffs of Mawgan Porth, this detached retreat offers families and groups a coastal base with sea and countryside views, a hot tub, sauna and yoga studio. The Malibu beach-house-inspired interiors bring a laid-back feel throughout, while the beach is just a short walk through the village. With four bedrooms sleeping up to nine and a dog-friendly beach on the doorstep, it is a hard spot to leave.
Inside, the ground-floor living space features an open fire, a large Smart TV and sliding patio doors opening onto sea views. The dining area seats seven, and the kitchen comes equipped with top-quality white goods, plus a coffee machine and a breakfast bar with three stools. A utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer sits on the ground floor. The master bedroom suite occupies the first floor with a super-king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe, sea views, a separate dressing room and sitting room, plus an en-suite with freestanding bath, rainfall shower, heated towel rail and twin basins. On the ground floor, a king-size bedroom, a single bedroom and a bunk room with two single bunk beds sleeping four complete the sleeping arrangements. A family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, plus an additional WC, serve the ground floor. Outside, the yoga studio doubles as a snug room with a sofa, sink, shower and fridge. The back patio and garden feature the hot tub and sauna, a table with seating for 12 and sea views, with parking for three vehicles on the drive.
Mawgan Porth Beach is a stretch of white sand with a swirling ocean – dog friendly all year round – where children can paddle in the trickling river. The beachfront street is dotted with shops, cafes and a surf school, while seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt sit near a historic Iron Age site. For longer walks, the South West Coast Path leads towards Watergate Bay in one direction and Bedruthan Steps in the other. Padstow is a little further afield.
