This three-bedroom coastal house proudly overlooks the magnificent beach at Mawgan Porth and the Atlantic Ocean, making it an ideal retreat for families and dog owners looking to enjoy a stretch of white sand just 200 metres from the doorstep. The beach is dog friendly all year round, and little feet can splash about in the trickling river and leave tiny footprints on the sand – perhaps joined by pawprints. A handful of tasty eateries, shops and cafes dot the beachfront street, while the swirling ocean beyond promises endless seaside fun.
Upstairs, the open-plan living space features a vaulted ceiling and large bi-fold doors leading onto a spacious balcony – the perfect spot to relax with a book. Beautifully designed by local designer Nicola O'Mara, the Scandinavian-style interiors showcase pretty colour palettes, cosy accents and striking furnishings. The lounge includes a comfortable chaise longue sofa, two stylish chairs, a Bluetooth speaker, a Smart TV and Netflix. A large dining table seats eight guests with chairs and a wooden bench. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Lavazza Espresso pod coffee machine among its highlights. Three bedrooms are located on the ground floor: a master with a king-size bed and an en-suite rainfall shower, a second with a super-king zip-and-link bed that can be configured as a twin, and a third with twin beds. A family shower room and separate WC complete the layout. Outside, a rear garden offers a picnic bench, and a hot shower is on hand for washing off sandy shoes and paws. Two allocated parking spaces sit at the front of the development.
Stretch your legs along the South West Coast Path towards neighbouring Watergate Bay or Bedruthan Steps, where you can soak up spectacular panoramas. Try your hand at mastering the waves at the local surfing school, or let off steam at the seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt course based near a historic Iron Age site. Padstow is a little further afield, around 20 minutes away by car.
