This large detached house overlooking the stunning Duporth Beach offers a seaside retreat for families or groups of up to eight, just a short walk from the historic harbour of Charlestown in Cornwall. Duporth is a private beach open to residents and holiday guests, meaning you will often have the bay to yourselves, away from the madding crowds. Classic interiors fused with a modern twist and panoramic ocean views set the scene for a memorable coastal stay.

Inside, the spacious living room features high vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly positioned for gazing out over the Atlantic. A second living space – the sunroom – opens through three sets of French doors to the garden, with feature beams, a large corner sofa and an electric fire for cosy nights in. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fresh coffee pod maker among its highlights, while a separate dining room seats eight around a beautiful wooden table. Upstairs, four beautifully designed bedrooms – all with sea views and super-king-size beds (two of which are zip-and-link, converting to twins) – provide generous sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom has an en-suite with bath and rainfall shower, complemented by a family bathroom and a downstairs shower room. Outside, a large level lawn overlooks the ocean, while a decking area with seating and a gas BBQ invites al fresco dining. A hot tub, outside shower and electric vehicle charging are also available. Private parking for four cars.

Charlestown is reachable on foot in 0.5 miles – a fishing port abundant in character, it is the last open Georgian working 18th-century harbour, as seen in the BBC Poldark series. Let classic tall ships and pebbly beaches dotted with caves set you daydreaming as you wander the streets, freshly caught crab sandwich in hand (just watch out for seagulls!). Easy access to the South West Coast Path means you can strike a leisurely course to neighbouring bays, including Carlyon, Pentewan and Porthpean Beach. For a day out, the world-famous Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive away.
