Crooklets downs – a large green space perfect for children to play – separates the house from the beach, while the Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club sits adjacent.
On the ground floor, a large living space seats 12 across two sofas with a 52-inch TV, dining table and double doors opening onto the rear patio. The large open-plan kitchen diner also seats 12 and comes fully equipped, with a range oven, Nespresso coffee machine and cocktail bar. Upstairs, six bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors, most featuring super king zip-and-link beds that can be split into singles, with sea views from several rooms. A family bathroom on each floor – one with bath and shower overhead, the other with bath and walk-in shower – plus an additional WC keep things comfortable. A cot and highchair are available on request, and WiFi is provided. Outside, a lovely terrace overlooking Crooklets bay has a large dining table seating twelve, a sun lounger and a firepit – a wonderful spot for al fresco dinner at sunset. To the rear, a small stoned garden area has a round table, chairs and an outdoor bath for rinsing off after a day on the sand. Parking is available for three vehicles, and there is access to the communal indoor heated swimming pool nearby during allocated time slots.
Bude boasts two beaches – Crooklets for stand-out surf and Summerleaze with its unique tidal swimming pool. The canal wharf offers boutique shops and restaurants, while the winding coastal roads lead to the rugged fringe of Widemouth Bay. Listen to birdsong as you pedal boat along the canal, feel the exhilaration of bumpy trails on the cycle paths, or wind down with a slow round of golf.
