    Perched on the headland at Fistral, 17 Oceangate benefits from panoramic sea views in the master bedroom and open plan living space.

    World famous for its epic surf and spirit, Fistral Beach invites you to dive headfirst into the action- just grab a board and get amongst the swell, before peeling some fire-pit flamed king prawns and sampling a cocktail at the iconic beachside restaurant complex.

    Across the cliff top path towards Little Fistral and its surrounding coves, you'll discover a more leisurely feel. Sand and shingle spill out between barnacle-dotted pools, perfect for carving out a secret space which feels like it belongs only to you, away from the busy chatter of the main bay.

    Fancy stretching your legs? Wait for low tide and take a stroll around the headland, past Newquay's historical Huer's Hut and towards the town's seven beaches, rewarding yourself with an ice cream when you're done. Watergate Bay is just a 10-minute drive away with its rolling surf and eateries, or Perranporth and its quirky shops can also be reached by car.

"This is our 2nd stay at this 2-bedroom/2-bathroom property which is very clean, modern and warm! (Our 3rd stay coming up in 5 weeks' time, we like it that much!) There is a lovely feeling of space and peace within the apartment: the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking pots/pans/plates and utensils and a large screen TV with all the channels. We love its location which gives a lovely view to the sea, with plenty of cliff and beach walks close by. Walking into Newquay takes just 15 minutes, with a reasonably-sized Sainsburys, a cinema and one or two decent coffee shops. Out of season, Newquay is a haven of tranquillity and empty beaches.

"Well what can I say? A perfect week and very sad to go home. By far the best Beach Retreats apartment we've stayed in to date. Warm, cosy, clean and yes incredible views & walks. We recommend The Mermaid Inn in Porth for a good pub - burgers at a reasonable price - and Lewinnick Lodge for an incredible lunch with stunning views! The cinema does seats for £5 on Mondays ideal for an indoor activity. We'll definitely be back!!"

"The apartment was spotless and never seen a kitchen so well equipped at a very high end standard. Amazing sea views from the balcony and we all loved the layout of the apartment. Both bedrooms had a good amount of storage options which you need for a weeks stay. There was an issue with our shower (couldn't be helped) which was dealt with promptly the next day. We would book to stay again."

"Beautiful apartment with stunning views. Facilities to wash wetsuits and store them in locked cages in the basement was fantastic. The walk to Fistral Beach was a good distance - about 5 minutes. The walk into Newquay town centre is about 15 minutes. Taxi to Porth Beach and Watergate Bay are cheaper than driving and parking. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all you'd need to cook etc, not that we did! Must check the height of the underground parking, I didn't notice that and we had a roof box which we had to remove before we drove in. Completely my fault that I missed that as it was in the info. Stored it in the cage so it was fine. Happily book again!"
