Dove Cottage is located just 50 metres from the sand at Porth, a fantastic family beach tucked into the north cornwall cliffs. Recently renovated, this original 19th century cottage is in a secluded spot right behind Porth Beach House and just around the corner from Sea Wall Cottage. Dove Cottage has a stylish interior with some wonderful features, including the natural slate floors and the log burner in the living room. The décor is in a bright, fresh `New England` style, perfect for coastal living.
Porth is the kind of beach that kids dream of with soft sand and rock pools galore. Located on the north coast of Cornwall it has a stream flowing down to the shoreline and even an island with a wooden bridge across to it. Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September, making it safe for swimming, surfing and bodyboarding. Even during the height of summer, Porth provides a sense of peace, with a bistro, cafe, pub and handy convenience store right next to the beach.
Ground floor entrance porch with space for coats and shoes. Open plan living area with oak flooring throughout, with comfortable seating, feature log burner, 32` flat screen television with standard satellite package, DVD player and MP3 docking station. Dining area with table, chairs and banquette seating. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, W.C. and basin.
Kitchen breakfast bar, slate floor, oven and extractor, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave oven. Iron, ironing board, travel cot, high chair and hairdryer are included.
First floor double bedroom with king size bed and ensuite shower room (shower enclosure, W.C., basin and heated towel rail). Further double bedroom with super king size bed (zip-and-link as double or twin). Children`s room which sleeps up to three children with full size bunk bed single bunk beds plus additional separate 2` 6` guest bed. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, W.C., basin and heated towel rail. Centrally heated with wood burner.
Outside is a small slate courtyard with barbecue and picnic bench. Nearby is off road parking for two cars. Two well behaved dogs but strictly downstairs only but please note that dogs are not permitted on Porth beach between Easter and 1st October. Short breaks available.
