Relax on your terrace directly on a tidal tributary of the River Camel just outside Padstow.
A truly peaceful location - Little Petherick sits in a wooded valley two miles from Padstow. This small hamlet is home to nothing more than a few houses, a telephone box and a village hall. Amenities are not far away however, with Padstow a few minutes drive in one direction and Wadebridge 10 minutes in the other.
Sand Pails is one of a small row of houses called Saints Way built on the tributary edge, with the tidal water literally in front of your terrace. No cars, no traffic, just an exclusive location. The perfect anti-dote to the bustling shops and thriving harbour of Padstow - your place to relax in peace and quiet and hopefully see some migrating wading birds who visit the creek.
It`s the perfect base for walking. The energetic guest will enjoy the footpath leading along the tributary from the front door to the Camel Trail along the river`s edge, to Padstow in one direction and Wadebridge in the other. What could be better than a slow walk into Padstow, pick up fish and chips from Rick Stein`s takeaway, exploring the shops and galleries, then a slow walk back?
So whether you choose the car or foot, or the local bus service, Sand Pails is a perfect mix of convenience and relaxing escapism.
Parking is next to the house, easy for loading and unloading.
Inside an open plan living area features laminate and natural slate flooring comfortable seating including a sofa bed for extra guests, flatscreen TV with Freeview, WiFi, DVD and CD player.
French doors lead out onto the spacious terrace which runs alongside the tributary, complete with furniture and a BBQ. There is even a gate (lockable) and ladder leading down onto the water.
The kitchen has contemporary maple units with built-in appliances including the oven, fridge and a washing machine.
There is a dining area with table and four chairs and a spiral staircase (may be difficult for the elderly and small children) leading up to the main bedroom.
The main bedroom features French doors onto a small balcony overlooking the creek, as well as a contemporary double bed with a wardrobe and drawers and a 26` flatscreen TV. There is an en-suite bathroom consisting of a bath, w.c., wash basin and heater towel rail.
The second bedroom is on the ground floor with a single bed and pull-out second single, along with wardrobe and chest of drawers. This bedroom also has an en-suite, this time with a shower cubicle, w.c. and wash basin.
One small dog welcome outside of school holidays only. Cautionary deposit of £100 required when booking. Short breaks available outside of school holidays.
